The City of Springfield, Illinois has a website chock full of information.  

Where to Stay in Springfield:

 

If you are camping, camping is at the southwest corner of the fairgrounds (gate 11).  There is a sign to inform arriving campers to contact Security at (217) 782-2622 and for any other information to call (217) 782-1698.

Costs-

$25.00 per night for RV's and campers.
$20.00 per night for tents.
Full hookups with electric, sewer, and water.
There is a heated bath house with showers.
300 hookups are available on a first come first served basis (plenty of space should be available that weekend).
